Prof. Kenneth C. Ekwedigwe

Prof. Kenneth Chinedu Ekwedigwe graduated from University of Benin Medical School in May, 2003 and obtained the Fellowship of the National postgraduate college in obstetrics and gynaecology (FMCOG) in May,2012 and fellowship of the West Africa College of Surgeons in April, 2013. He became Professor in March 2025 at AEFUNAI. His clinical expertise is in Urogynaecology, assisted conception, and endoscopic surgery. He was Pioneer CMAC of the National Obstetric Fistula Centre, Abakaliki, where he helped establish the first ART centre in a federal institution in Southeast Nigeria and a minimal access surgery unit. He holds FMAS and F.ART from World Laparoscopic Hospital, India. In 2019 he founded St. Elizabeth Hospital & Fertility Centre Ltd, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu. Academically, he holds an LLB (2019) and is currently pursuing an LL.M. He also has an MSc. in Health Economics and an MPH. He is pursuing PhDs in Health Economics and Reproductive Health. Additional certifications: Urodynamic Studies, Project Management, Gynae Oncology, and Obstetric Fistula. He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS, 2015). He is a member of AFRH, AFFS, and ESHRE. Prof. Ekwedigwe has over 90 peer-reviewed publications, including 30+ in Clarivate-indexed journals.
