Mrs. Oluwaseun Martins-Akinlose

Mrs. Oluwaseun D. Martins-Akinlose is a Chief Nursing Officer, Assisted Fertility Center, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). She earned her MSc. in Nursing from Babcock University in 2021 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing there. Her Bachelor of Nursing is from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). She trained as a Registered Nurse/Midwife and Registered Peri-operative Nurse at LUTH and completed Assisted Reproductive Techniques training at National Hospital Abuja in 2013. She was one of the pioneer nurses at LUTH’s Assisted Fertility Center and now leads the nursing team there. Her clinical focus is obstetrics, gynecology, and fertility care. She also served as a COVID-19 frontline worker. Professionally, she is Public Relations Officer for NANNM LUTH Branch and Director of Advocacy for the Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria. As a nurse-researcher, her work centers on adult health nursing, psycho-oncology, and quality of life for healthcare workers and vulnerable patients in Nigeria. She is a member of AFRH and FNAN.
