Dr. Richardson Ajayi is an accomplished obstetrician and gynaecologist, healthcare entrepreneur, and experienced director. He studied at King’s College, London, where he received his MBBS in 1988, graduating with distinction. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) of the UK and holds the Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS). He is also a Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors in the UK. Dr. Ajayi has alumni status at Lagos Business School, London Business School, and Harvard Business School. In 1999, he founded Bridge Clinic, originally established as a fertility clinic, which has since grown to become the leading fertility centre in West Africa, attracting clients from across West and East Africa. He currently serves as Vice Executive Chairman. As Medical Director of Bridge Clinic, Dr. Ajayi has been a strong advocate for ethical fertility practice in Nigeria, emphasising the importance of moral and evidence-based care in reproductive health. He was appointed Chairperson of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cycology Riding Club, with a focus on establishing cycling as a lifestyle in Nigeria. Dr. Ajayi has been featured in international media, including an interview with CNN Marketplace Africa, recognizing his role in establishing Nigeria’s first IVF clinic.
