Prof. Osama A. Shawki is an Egyptian physician, academic, and pioneer in gynecologic endoscopic surgery. He is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, where he has contributed extensively to teaching, clinical practice, and research in women’s health. Prof. Shawki is internationally recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, particularly hysteroscopy and laparoscopic procedures. He has conducted numerous live surgical workshops and training courses in many countries, helping to advance endoscopic surgical techniques worldwide. He has also served as a faculty member at the Giessen School of Endoscopy in Germany, been a board member of the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ISGE) and directed the Ebtesama Center for Advanced Endoscopic Surgery and the Hysteroscopy Academy for Research and Training (H.A.R.T.). In addition to his clinical and educational work, Professor Shawki has authored and co-authored research publications in obstetrics and gynecology, with interests including minimally invasive surgery and high-risk pregnancy management. His contributions have earned him recognition as one of Egypt’s leading specialists in gynecologic endoscopy.
