Prof. Dr. Frank J.M. Broekmans is a Reproductive Medicine Specialist and Professor. Prof. Broekmans earned his MD from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 1983, specialised in OBGYN at Academic Hospital VU Amsterdam in 1990, completed a Reproductive Medicine fellowship at VU Medical Center in 1993, and received his PhD in 1995 on GnRH agonists in Reproductive Medicine. He served as Professor of Reproductive Medicine at University Medical Center Utrecht from 2010-2023, and since 2023 continues as Consultant at Dijklander Hospital Centre for Childwish, Purmerend. Prof. Broekmans is Principal Investigator for Dutch ZonMW and Health Care Insurance studies including Insight, Optimist, SCRaTCH IVF, and DIVINE. His research focuses on ovarian ageing, fertility assessment, genetics of ovarian ageing, vascular-ovarian ageing, and endometrial organoids for reproductive failure. He has authored 320 peer-reviewed papers, 38 book chapters, and delivered 220+ invited international lectures. After working in the UK in endoscopic surgery, IVF, and general OBGYN, Prof. Broekmans founded ABC Fertility Centre in 2004 and serves as its Medical Director.
