Mrs. Rifkatu Lanna is Deputy Director of Nursing Services / Coordinator, IVF/ART Clinic, Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). Mrs. Lanna qualified as a Registered Nurse from the College of Nursing Sciences, Jos in 1996 and is a Member of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM). She began her career as a bedside nurse at JUTH, with experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) from the National Open University of Nigeria in 2016. In 2019, she was posted as DDNS/Coordinator of the IVF/ART Clinic when JUTH opened its IVF unit. She later specialized as a Fertility Nurse at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in 2021 and completed her MSc. in Midwifery there in 2023. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Midwifery at the same university. Mrs. Lanna is a member of AFRH and FNAN. She has 2 peer-reviewed publications on infertility and IVF. Her work focuses on fertility nursing, patient counselling, and clinical coordination in assisted reproduction.
